County Representative Elections


County representatives to the North Dakota Wheat Commission are elected by fellow wheat producers. County representatives elect a district commissioner, participate in an annual meeting, and serve in an advisory role to the Commission.
 
County representatives serve four-year terms and elections are held in each district on a rotational basis. Elections will be held for the year 2024 for districts 1 and 4, which are in the southwest and north central portions of the state.  Election scheduled to date are listed below. Producers are eligible to serve as a county representative in the county which they reside and must be actively producing wheat.

  • Bowman -  Colby Schumacher, Reeder - re-elected
  • Dunn - Lenci Sickler, Gladstone - re-elected
  • Golden Valley - Don Hardy, Beach - re-elected
  • Grant - Joel Klein, Elgin - elected
  • Hettinger - vacant
  • Mercer - Michael Berg, Stanton - elected
  • Morton - Jim Bahm, New Salem - re-elected
  • Oliver - Mikael Schmidt, Center - re-elected
  • Sioux - vacant
  • Slope - Matt Lambourn, Amidon - elected
  • Stark - Jim Bobb, Taylor - elected

District 4 Elections
  • Benson - Doug Schmid, Oberon - elected
  • Bottineau - vacant
  • McHenry - Kellen Olson, Drake - elected
  • Pierce - Glendon Slaubaugh, Rugby - elected
  • Ramsey - Matt Olson, Devils Lake - re-elected
